Data Privacy Declaration

Data Privacy

You can generally use our website without having to provide any personal data. When our website requests you to disclose personal data (e.g. name, address, email addresses), you are requested to do so – whenever possible – on a purely voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

We would like to point out that all data transfers over the Internet (e.g. in email communications) are inherently vulnerable to security breaches. Absolute protection of the data against third-party access is not possible.

On our pages are integrated plugins of the social networks Facebook, Google, Twitter, Xing and LinkedIn. Please note the following sections about these plugins, which apply if you have activated the plugin at the end of the website.

Data privacy declaration for using Facebook plugins (“Like” button)

Plugins of the social network Facebook (Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California, 94025, USA) have been integrated into our website.

The Facebook plugins can be recognized by the Facebook logo or the “Like“ button on our website.

A summary of the Facebook plugins is available at:
developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins

When you visit our website, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. This informs Facebook that you visited our website with your IP address. If you click the “Like” button while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the contents of our website to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate your visit to our website with your user account. We would like to stress that, in our capacity as the website administrator, we receive neither information about the content of the data transmitted to Facebook, nor about how it is used there. Further details can be found in Facebook’s Data Privacy Policy at:
de-de.facebook.com/policy.php

If you do not want Facebook to be able to link your visit to our website with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.

Data privacy declaration for using Google +1

Functions of the service, Google +1, have been integrated into our website.
These functions are offered by Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043,  USA.

Collection and forwarding of data:
The Google +1 button allows you to publish data worldwide and enables you and other users to receive customized content from Google and our business partners. Google saves the information you provided for +1 content, as well as information about the page which you were viewing when you clicked +1. Your +1s can be displayed as tips, together with your profile name and photo, in Google services such as in search results, or in your Google profile, or at other places on websites and in advertisements in the Internet.

Google gathers information about your +1 activities to improve its services for you and others. To be able to use the Google +1 button, you need a globally visible, public Google profile which, at the very least, must contain the name chosen for the profile. This name will be used in all Google services. In some cases, this name can also replace another name which you have used to split contents over your Google account. The identity of your Google profile can be displayed to users who know your email address or have access to other identifying information about you.

Use of the gathered information:
In addition to the above-mentioned purposes, the information you provide is also used in accordance with Google’s data privacy policies (as amended). Google may possibly publish consolidated statistics about its users’ +1 activities, or forward these to users or business partners such as publishers, interested third parties or affiliated websites.

Data privacy declaration for using Twitter

Functions of the service, Twitter, have been integrated into our website.
These functions are offered by Twitter Inc., Twitter, Inc. 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. When you use Twitter and the “Re-Tweet” function, the websites you visit are linked to your Twitter account and disclosed to other users. Data are also transferred to Twitter in doing so. We would like to stress that, in our capacity as the website administrator, we receive neither information about the content of the data transmitted to Twitter, nor about how it is used there. Further details can be found in Twitter’s Data Privacy at:
twitter.com/privacy

You can change your data privacy settings at Twitter in the account settings at
twitter.com/account/Settings

Data privacy declaration for using XING

Our website uses the functions of the network XING. Provider is the XING AG, Dammtorstraße 29-32, 20354 Hamburg, Germany. Here, we would like to tell you about how personal data are processed when you click the XING “Share” button.

This website contains the XING “Share” button; when it is called up/clicked, your browser establishes a temporary connection to the XING AG (“XING”) servers used for providing the XING “Share” button functions (especially for calculating / displaying the counter value). XING does not save any personal data about you regarding your call to this website. In particular, XING does not store any IP addresses, neither does it evaluate your usage patterns by means of cookies connected with the XING “Share” button. The data privacy policies for the XING “Share” button (as amended), and further information, can be found at the URL:
www.xing.com/app/share

Data privacy declaration for using LinkedIn

Our website uses components of the network, LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a service of LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. For each call of one of our web pages containing such a component, the component causes your web browser to download a corresponding view / representation of the component from LinkedIn.

This process informs LinkedIn of the concrete web page on our website which is currently being visited. If you click the LinkedIn “Recommend” button while logged into your LinkedIn account, you can link the contents of our web pages to your LinkedIn profile. In this way, LinkedIn can link the visit of our web pages to your LinkedIn user account.

We have no influence on either the data that LinkedIn gathers here, or the scope of the data that LinkedIn gathers. Nor do we have any knowledge of the contents of the information transmitted to LinkedIn. Further details about the collection of data by LinkedIn and about your rights and configuration options can be found in the data privacy information published by LinkedIn at www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy
